Gundo Nevhutanda Inc. is a 100% black female owned boutique law firm dedicated to providing specialist legal services that is tailored to the needs of our clients and practical in its application.

Our approach is unique in that we see ourselves as an extension of our clients’ business, which enables us to add tangible value to our clients by adopting client specific strategies that are results driven. We do not believe in a one-size- fits-all approach. Whilst we are a South African based law firm, through our global outlook, we are dedicated to forging relationships with other independent law firms around the world, as we believe that the right partnerships can lead to great accomplishments.

Management

Our Founder

Gundo Nevhutanda Attorneys Inc. was founded by Ms. Gundo Nevhutanda, an admitted attorney, notary and conveyancer of the High Court of South Africa. Ms. Nevhutanda holds the following qualification from the University of Pretoria:
Ms. Nevhutanda, an alumni of the prestigious International Visitors Leadership Program by the United States government holds a number of accolades, including being named by the Law Society of the Northern Provinces as the youngest admitted black female conveyancer at the time of her admission, being named by the Mail and Guardian as one of the top 200 young South Africans for her contribution to the legal fraternity, and being named as a finalist of the Accenture Rising Star awards.

The combination of law firm practice and in-house corporate experience which Ms. Nevhutanda possesses is highly sought-after and informs her entrepreneurial and practical approach to solving legal problems. Ms. Nevhutanda’s debut into the legal field was as a candidate attorney at a well-known firm, whereafter she was headhunted by legal giant and one of the top South African 5 law firms, where she gained extensive experience in commercial real estate, corporate and commercial law, insurance law, dispute resolution, company law and financial regulatory. Ms Nevhutanda has since worked for top international law firms and various state owned entities advising on multi-million-rand transactions, where her roles included advising on structuring and negotiating local and cross border transactions within the private equity portfolio which includes project finance, venture capital and BEE transactions across sectors such as construction, energy, logistics, hospitality, mining, finance and telecommunications, drafting the relevant legal agreements, and providing legal opinions on corporate governance issues within the organisation, as well as turn-around strategies such as business rescue, restructures and liquidations.
Ms. Nevhutanda is a member of the Legal Practice Council and the Institute of Directors of South Africa. Ms. Nevhutanda has been featured on a number of radio and television platforms, and newspapers. She is also an avid publisher of legal articles as well as a key-note speaker.
